Aristotle George "Harry" Agganis (April 20, 1929-June 27, 1955) was a football and baseball star at Boston University and later with the Boston Red Sox. Agganis tragically died of a pulmonary embolism at the age of 26 during the 1955 baseball season. Agganis Arena, home to B.U.'s hockey team, is named in honor of him, as is Harry Agganis Way, the street that abuts B.U.'s Nickerson Field.
