The Boston Metro
From Boston
The Boston Metro is a free daily newspaper. Launched on 21 May 2001, the Boston newspaper was the second Metro edition to be published in the US. The newspaper is distributed by hand and from racks outside commuter train, subway and bus stations, in office buildings and on fifteen college campuses in the Greater Boston area. Abandoned Metros litter buses and trains all day, especially since the MBTA took away the recycle bans to help protect us in this post 9-11 world.
In 2004, The Boston Globe bought a 49% interest in the Boston Metro.
